Tour Detroit on your bike! This leisurely, 40 mile police-escorted ride will occur at a pace of approximately 10-14 miles per hour, will explore some of the city’s historic areas, take in many of its most breathtaking sights, and provide bicyclists a unique opportunity to legally “take over” the streets of the Motor City. The ride will be primarily along the Woodward and Grand River corridors, visiting Detroit landmarks along the way. Motorcycle police escorts will be provided by the Detroit Police Department Tactical Operations Section, allowing riders to tool safely around the streets of the city. The ride will proceed at a pace of 10 - 12 MPH.
C’mon, bikes are fun! And participating raises money for the Corktown-Mexicantown Greenlink.
