From the Detroit News: “Ford: Quality equal to Toyota”
Basically, Ford paid for a study which found that their quality has improved from the previous year and is basically as good as Toyota is and better than the industry average. This is for new cars and their North American cars are better than their European cars.
Of course, perceptions of negative quality will be tough to turn around and most consumers will probably ignore this information for years to come. Ford will not only have to improve quality but make everybody see that this is a trend for them.
